Life isn’t so bad for Lauren Alaina even though she was the American Idol season 10 runner-up rather than winner.
Alaina points out that she got to be mentored by some pretty impressive talent – and that was capped off by her performance with Country Music superstar and Idol’s season four winner Carrie Underwood.
“I got to sing with my idol, Carrie Underwood,” she gushes. “I couldn’t have imagined it to be any better tonight. Just looking at her I was thinking, ‘I cannot believe this is happening to me right now!’ ”
Alaina has no hard feelings now that Scott McCreery has taken the title. The singer says they’re buddies for life.
“We’re really, really good friends,” she points out. “He can sing, he’s athletic, he loves Cheez-Its and he’s cute.”

I watched American Idol 2011 every week my favourite constestant were Scotty and Lauren Alaina. I like Scotty and his voice very much but everytime he was singing by himself I got bored and feel sleepy – when I saw scotty and Lauren Alaina singing duet ( I have told you so) together, I love to see them very much and since then I watched video of them together singing duet I love you so and American Honey again again. I love to see lauren singing like my mother does – Her voice was so impressive. Scotty should do duet song with Lauren Alaina together, they are macth, otherwise singing by himself it is boring to see. Lauren was great to see singing by herself even more great to see when she was singing duet with Scotty. I hope Scotty think about it if he wants go forward with his career.
